2 Doctoral Positions at ETH Zurich

Data-driven Modeling of Social Systems

At the Chair of Systems Design, ETH Zurich, we develop data driven models of complex systems, with particular emphasis on social, socio-technical and socio-economic systems.
We invite applications for two doctoral positions (fully funded for 3 years, available from October 2017).
The successful applicants will engage in research projects focusing on quantitative studies of social organizations and online communities.
These projects require large-scale data analysis and formal modeling (using network- and agent-based models).

Requirements:
    -    MSc degree (or equivalent) in computer science, natural science, applied mathematics or a related field
    -    ability to develop formal models and computer simulations
    -    skills in data analytics, statistics, social network analysis
    -    strong abilities to communicate in an interdisciplinary scientific environment
